I heard the Lord say, “2025 is a Catch-Up Year. This will be the year when those labeled ‘underdogs’ will gain ground and shoot ahead. The enemy has told many of them that it was too late, but I am a Restorer of Years.
Where there has been fruitlessness, barrenness, and drought will now become an oasis overflowing with the blessings of God.”
My son Gabriel and I were at a theme park, walking through the long stretch of the queue that led to a certain ride, when he suddenly shouted, “Daddy, let’s race!” Without a moment’s hesitation, he bolted ahead. I quickly joined in, running past him at full speed. I was flying, glancing back to see him giving it his all. However, I didn’t notice that the path took a sharp right turn. In that instant, Gabriel seized the opportunity.
He found himself on the inside of the curve while I was stuck on the outside. To my surprise, my little seven-year-old beat me, the eight-mile-a-day runner! He said, “Daddy, I catched up to you.” At that very moment, I heard the Lord say, “2025 is a catch-up year!” Did you get that? It is not too late for you. If God spoke it, then He will bring it to pass. This is YOUR catch-up year!
“And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed” (Joel 2:24-26, KJV).
As I read the above verses that God had given me for 2025, suddenly, the words, “full, overflow, wheat, wine,” and“oil,” all stood out to me as a prophetic declaration for this year. Through those words, God is saying to you that in the areas where you have been empty, you are about to be full and overflow. The drought is over. God is sending the former and the latter rain that is causing the wheat (Harvest) to come forth.
There is coming a great move of God that will be marked by the overflow of the new wine. The new wine is symbolic of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The FIRST miracle that Jesus performed was turning water into wine.
More miracles followed the Lord’s first miracle, even an abundance of them! So, will it be as God pours out His Spirit upon you, refreshing, renewing, and reviving you from the severe drought you have encountered. GET READY FOR A HARVEST OF BREAKTHROUGHS!
Throughout the Word of God, oil is used as a representation of the anointing. Oil is obtained from the crushing process. There is a fresh oil of anointing that is flowing through the lives of those who have consecrated themselves to God’s holy purpose and have remained steadfast through the crushing.
Joel’s use of the word “restore” translated from the Hebrew word “shaw-lam.” According to Strong’s Concordance, it means “to be safe, to make good, to repay, to be at peace, perform, make prosperous, recompense, render, requite, reward, make restitution,” and “restore.”
God declares to you now that He will restore the years that the devourer (locust, cankerworm, palmerworm, great army) has eaten. By this, God is saying to you that He will make up for your lost time.
There is RESTORATION for the time, fruitfulness, and monetary gains the devourer has stolen from you. You do not have to stay any longer in the cycle of barrenness, loss, and drought. There is a remarkable momentum propelling God’s plans forward at an astonishing pace that surpasses your wildest expectations. Can you sense the seismic shift that has taken place in the Spirit?
Some of you may be reading this and saying to yourself, “I don’t deserve for God to restore the years. It wasn’t the devil; it was my own foolish decisions that caused me to be in my current circumstances.” The truth is that no one deserves God to restore or show His goodness to them. His grace can never be earned; rather, it is a gift that is given.
In 2019, I had an encounter with Jesus in a dream, and I saw a move of God taking place where entire stadiums were filled with people being saved, healed, and delivered. Jesus said, “It’s a Triple Threat Movement.” I believe in 2025 that we will see the beginning of this movement. The supernatural power of God will no longer be hidden in a back room somewhere, but it will be out in the open as a sign and a wonder to the world. Doesn’t this excite you and stir you to be a part of what God is doing on the Earth?
Today, I call you out of despair and into destiny. Get up from the brokenness of the past season, for God is doing a new thing. There is a fresh outpour of new wine, and He is calling you to drink of it now. This is a crucial moment in history.
The enemy wants to keep you imprisoned in your past, but God is declaring that He is restoring the devoured years, wasted time, and missed opportunities. This is your CATCH-UP YEAR!
