THE NATIONAL CATHEDRAL BISHOP
There is considerable debate surrounding the termination of the Bishop of the National Cathedral. As clergy, we have taken an oath to uphold the Kingdom of God, which embodies God's love for all. However, loving everyone does not grant a license for biased, politically charged rhetoric, or personal agendas in the pulpit. T
he bishop's primary responsibility at the National Cathedral was to pray for and bless the incoming President and Vice President, invoking God's presence and seeking wisdom, safety, and good health for them.
While some argue that criticizing the bishop is un-Christian, it is essential to remember that she took an oath to uphold Christian principles. Woke agendas often contradict Christian values, which are rooted in the Holy Bible.
As clergy, we must adhere to these principles and uphold the tenets of our faith, particularly when serving in esteemed institutions like the National Cathedral. Some may argue that criticizing the bishop is judgmental; however, as clergy and members of other esteemed institutions, we are held to a different standard.
Our roles require us to maintain a level of excellence that benefits society as a whole. Therefore, attempting to normalize our conduct with that of other groups would be misguided.
Somehow she lost her way.
Perhaps going back and reevaluating why she took the oath of service to our God.
