"But the LORD is with me as a dread champion; therefore my persecutors will stumble and not overcome me" Jeremiah 20:11
As I awoke on this first day of 2025 I saw a quick vision and it was God changing the word “dread” that was hanging over the heads of many of his people and he added the word, “champions” to it. They were going to face 2025 as overcomers rather than those who looked at the days ahead with mere dread.
God is our dread champion— he strikes fear and dread into his enemies. But as his children, he is anointing us to arise as warriors in his army and become the dread of every enemy that has sought to prevail over us and our children.
We are to no longer dread the enemy or what is ahead— but we are go forth knowing that it is “Christ in me” that faces and defeats every enemy. Christ alone is the dread champion that brings us into overcoming victory. He will cause our enemy to stumble and usher us into the place of overcoming!
Goliath was considered the “dread champion” of his people and yet he was brought down by a young boy with a slingshot and stone. How? Because that boy went forth in the name of Yahweh! It was not his skill or strength— it was the Lord in him and before this giant. His faith in God released the victory over this giant.
Giants may come before you but you are to have faith like David and allow the true Dread Champion to defeat the giants that threaten you.
He will bring them down. You must only possess that small stone of faith. Giants may face nations and lands— but in 2025 we will see many fall like the great Goliath of old.
Today, January 1st, 2025 I say to you, “Break out of the dread of the enemy that has plagued you over the past few years and acknowledge that the true Dread Champion— Christ your victory— is within you. He is marching out before us to defeat the giants in the land and in your life.
Those who have posed themselves as national Goliaths in our nation and in the nations are about to face the One who has overcome all things.
These enemies will see a people arise who have put their faith in God. And God will cause them to stumble and fall.
An overcoming Church is about to arise that no longer cowers in dread but stands tall in Christ and the power of his might. Our Dread Champion is with us and has gone before us!
