Maybe you are like me. I have never felt qualified to do the works of the Lord. Not because I didn’t know the Word, but because I was afraid I would mess up. Somehow, I had it in my mind that to minister the Word to others, I needed perfection.
Little did I know that perfection can lead into performance very quickly. We study hard, work hard, show up for every Sunday service, clean the Church, sing in the choir, attend all the leadership meetings, get involved as much as possible, and work a full time job.
We still don’t know why we are tired all the time. We just need to make sure our labor for the Kingdom doesn't become performance -oriented for position or title. Being a sevant in His Kingdom comes from the heart. For where your heart is where your treasure is. (Matt. 6:21) And please let me add, there surely is nothing wrong with works for we all will surely be rewarded by the Lord.
(Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
But let us always remember we are called from the moment we receive Christ Jesus. Apostle Paul tells us in the book of Romans that we all are predestined and called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28-30 And we know tha all things work together for good to them tha love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. 29 ) For whom He did foreknow, he also did predestinate to ber conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first born among many brethren. 30 ) Moreover whom he did predestinate, he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified lthem he also glorified.
The word anointed means to smear with oil. This is why ministry leaders use oil to anoint those who have position and title. To be appointed, means to be chosen for position. I am telling you today YOU are not only called to do the work of the ministry, but also anointed to do what the Lord has called you to do.
We know that the oil is also used for various other reasons such as for healing, ordinations, etc. But for this article my desire is to stress that we are anointed and appointed for such a time as this. Just as Queen Ester came forth in God's timing for a specific purpose, she was anointed totally for Kingdom purpose- just like you!
As you plan your day, ask the Holy Spirit to guide and strenthen you. Arise out of your bed daily decreeing . This is the day the Lord has made and I shall rejoice and be glad in it. (Job 2:28)
Declare that "Today will be my day of breakthrough. I will be bless as I arise and I will be blessed when this day is finished because I am a Son of God. No weapon shall prosper against me, for I am covered by the blood of Jesus. Today, I ask that His face shine upon me, and bless me and keep me from harm, and may I walk in His peace. Thank you Jesus for loving me. Today I shall be successful in all that I do. " Amen."
Blessings,
