Something incredible happened at the Los Angeles Dream Center recently—something we haven’t seen in a long time from our nation’s leadership. Newly appointed HUD Secretary Scott Turner and worship leader Sean Feucht led a powerful time of prayer and praise, bringing faith front and center in public service.

Let’s be honest: seeing a high-ranking government official openly worshipping God and praying with people? That’s not something we got used to over the last few years. But it’s exactly the kind of leadership we need—leaders who fear God, serve people with integrity and aren’t ashamed to stand for righteousness.

A Different Kind of Leadership

Scott Turner isn’t just another politician. He’s a man of faith—a former NFL player, Texas legislator and associate pastor. He’s been on the frontlines of community engagement, helping lift up the poor and broken. And now, as HUD Secretary, he’s bringing biblical values into government at a time when so many leaders are falling away from them.

Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.” That’s not just a nice saying, it’s a truth we can see in action. When leaders fear the Lord, their decisions are wiser, their policies are just and their priorities reflect God’s heart. Contrast that with what we’ve seen in previous administrations, where faith was often mocked, biblical values were sidelined and leaders seemed more interested in pleasing the world than honoring God.

The Stark Contrast

Over the past few years, we watched as government pushed God out of nearly every conversation. Leaders catered to secular agendas, ignored moral absolutes and promoted policies that directly opposed biblical truth. The difference now is night and day—a return to leadership that acknowledges God’s role in shaping a nation.

Seeing Secretary Turner pray, worship and stand alongside believers isn’t just refreshing—it’s a sign of hope. Hope that we’re moving toward a government that values faith again. Hope that righteousness is making a comeback. Hope that more leaders will rise up who fear God more than man.

Let’s pray for Secretary Turner and others like him—leaders who aren’t afraid to stand for Christ in a culture that desperately needs Him. And let’s make sure we support and encourage those who boldly proclaim the truth, no matter the cost.

This is what leadership should look like. Let’s keep praying for more of it.
